Fertiliser application
A plastic-free, mineral-based fertiliser that holds nutrients until plant roots call for them, designed to fit existing production and distribution. Target markets: acid and alkaline soils across the globe.
Conventional fertiliser runs on the clock, not the crop
Conventional fertilisers release nutrients on contact with water, and depend on temperature and moisture, not when the crop needs them.
Phosphorus lock-up
In acidic soils, soluble phosphate reacts with iron and aluminium and becomes unavailable to plants, so growers apply more to get the same result.
Nitrogen losses
Fast-dissolving nitrogen is exposed to volatilisation, leaching and N2O emissions before roots can take it up.
Plastic coatings
Most controlled-release products use polymer coatings that leave residues in soil.
Our own granule, or an upgrade of yours
NanoSoils can be supplied as our own granule, with size adjustable to industry standard, or as a thin layer applied to existing commercial granules. Both routes are polymer- and binder-free.

NanoSoils material
One material, two routes.

Our own granule
Self-assembled granules without polymer additives. Size adjustable to industry standard.

Thin layer on existing granules
Sprayed directly onto commercial granules, then dried.
Three formats
NanoSoils-P granule
Standalone trigger-release phosphorus granule, size and weight adjustable.
Upgrade of existing granules
A thin layer of NanoSoils material applied to conventional granules, converting them into trigger-responsive products without polymer binders.
NanoSoils-N
Nitrogen delivered together with the trigger-release platform.
Other formats, including liquid-compatible forms, can be explored with partners.
Release behaviour against commercial TSP
| Test | Commercial TSP | NanoSoils |
|---|---|---|
| First contact with water | Immediate release | Negligible release |
| Release in water | Near-complete within hours | Slow and gradual |
| Simulated root-zone conditions | No change/Uncontrolled | Release strongly increased/controllable |
| Acidic soils | High early release, then exhausted | Low early release, then released on the root signal |
| Granule handling | Standard | Dust-free, stays intact in water, no binders or polymer added |
Built for the fertiliser value chain
Phosphate producers
A premium, trigger-release P line that delivers more of the applied P to the crop and loses less to lock-up.
Nitrogen importers and distributors
A value-added line on existing granules, applied at warehouse or blending scale.
Controlled-release manufacturers
A plastic-free release mechanism, relevant as polymer coating rules tighten.
Regional distributors and blenders
A differentiated product for acid and alkaline soils, tested through distributor-led trials.
Specialty and non-crop markets
Plastic-free performance for various types of crops.
Complementary nutrient technologies
Co-formulation or co-application, for example with sulphur or liquid products.
