Nanoparticle treatment significantly improved both early establishment and plant growth in tall fescue. Seeds coated with nanoparticles achieved a 25% increase in germination, rising from 63% in untreated seeds to 83% in treated seeds, resulting in faster and more uniform emergence. Beyond improved germination, nanoparticle‑treated tall fescue plants produced substantially more biomass, with plant weight reaching 1.8 times that of the control. This increase in biomass reflects enhanced early vigor and more efficient nutrient utilization, helping establish stronger, more resilient plants. Together, these improvements highlight the potential of nanoparticle technologies to support robust turf and forage establishment, particularly under variable or challenging growing conditions.
